The Langtang Valley trek is a hidden gem located just north of Kathmandu, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and Tamang culture. Trek through dense forests, alpine meadows, and glacial moraines to reach Kyanjin Gompa at 3,870m. With fewer crowds than the Annapurna and Everest regions, Langtang provides an intimate mountain experience with stunning views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m).

Day-by-Day Itinerary
A carefully designed itinerary with proper acclimatization to maximize your chances of success.
Scenic 7-8 hour drive through hills and valleys to the trailhead town of Syabrubesi.
Trek along the Langtang River through dense forests of oak, maple, and rhododendron.
Ascend through forests into alpine meadows. Arrive at the rebuilt Langtang Village.
Trek to Kyanjin Gompa. Visit the monastery and cheese factory. Afternoon exploration.
Day hike for panoramic views of the entire Langtang range and surrounding peaks.
Descend back through the valley, enjoying views from a different perspective.
Final trekking day. Return to Syabrubesi through the riverside trail.
Return drive to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner.

Yes, the trail and villages have been rebuilt. The Langtang community has shown remarkable resilience, and the trek is fully operational with safe trails and rebuilt tea houses.
Langtang offers similar mountain scenery with far fewer trekkers. It's closer to Kathmandu, more affordable, and provides deeper cultural immersion with the Tamang community.
