5.3 Safety Protocols
For your safety, our guides have the authority to:

- Arrange emergency evacuation if necessary (costs covered by your insurance)
- Remove participants who endanger themselves or others

Mountain trekking involves inherent risks including but not limited to:
- Altitude sickness, hypothermia, and other medical emergencies
- Adverse weather conditions and natural disasters
- Trail hazards, rockfall, avalanches, and landslides
- Remote locations with limited medical facilities
- Wildlife encounters
By booking with us, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at your own risk.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
GEP acts as an organizer and coordinator of trekking services. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for injury, illness, death, loss, or damage arising from your trek
- We are not responsible for services provided by third parties (airlines, hotels, etc.)
- Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for your trek
- We are not liable for delays, itinerary changes, or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure)
6.3 Personal Belongings
You are responsible for your personal belongings at all times. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
7. Client Responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal and medical information
- Obtain necessary visas, permits, and travel documents
- Follow guide instructions and safety protocols
- Respect local cultures, customs, and environmental regulations
- Arrive with appropriate fitness level and equipment
- Not hold GEP responsible for circumstances beyond our control
- Behave respectfully toward guides, porters, and other trekkers
8. Itinerary Changes
While we make every effort to follow the published itinerary, changes may be necessary due to:
- Weather conditions and trail accessibility
- Health and safety concerns
- Government regulations or permit restrictions
- Unforeseen circumstances
We reserve the right to modify the itinerary at any time. No refunds will be provided for itinerary changes, though we will strive to provide comparable alternatives.
9. Conduct & Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your participation without refund if:
- Your behavior endangers yourself or others
- You refuse to follow guide instructions
- You engage in illegal activities
- You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- You display aggressive, disruptive, or disrespectful behavior
In such cases, you will be responsible for all costs associated with your early departure.
10. Force Majeure
GEP is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, government actions, strikes, or severe weather. In such events, we will work with you to reschedule or provide alternative arrangements, but no refunds will be issued for unused services.
