Day-by-Day Itinerary
A carefully designed itinerary with proper acclimatization to maximize your chances of success.
Welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Trip briefing and gear check.
Scenic 35-minute flight to Lukla. Begin trek along the Dudh Kosi river to Phakding.
Cross suspension bridges, enter Sagarmatha National Park, and ascend to the bustling Sherpa capital.
Hike to Everest View Hotel for panoramic views. Visit the Sherpa Museum and explore the local market.
Trek through rhododendron forests to the famous Tengboche Monastery with stunning Everest views.
Descend to Debuche, cross the Imja River, and climb to the highland village of Dingboche.
Day hike to Nagarjun Hill for views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Island Peak. Rest and prepare for higher altitude.
Trek past Dughla and the memorial cairns dedicated to fallen climbers. Arrive at the remote settlement of Lobuche.
Trek to Gorak Shep, drop bags, and continue to Everest Base Camp. Witness the Khumbu Icefall and celebrate your achievement.
Pre-dawn hike to Kala Patthar for the best sunrise views of Everest. Descend to Pheriche.
Retrace steps through Tengboche and descend back to Namche. Enjoy the warmer lower altitude.
Final day of trekking. Farewell dinner with your crew and team.
Morning flight back to Kathmandu. Free time for shopping and sightseeing.

Frequently Asked Questions
The trek is rated as challenging due to the high altitude (5,364m). Good physical fitness is required, but no technical climbing skills are needed. Proper acclimatization days are built into the itinerary.
The best seasons are Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November). Spring offers blooming rhododendrons and clear skies, while Autumn provides the most stable weather and clearest mountain views.
While prior trekking experience is helpful, it is not mandatory. A good level of fitness and the ability to walk 5-7 hours per day on hilly terrain is sufficient.
Our itinerary includes acclimatization days to minimize risk. Our guides carry oximeters and first aid kits. We recommend consulting your doctor before the trip and considering Diamox as a preventive measure.
Accommodation is in comfortable tea houses (lodges) along the route. Rooms are twin-sharing with basic facilities. Hot showers and charging stations are available at most stops for an additional fee.
